KESSEN III WALKTHROUGH TV
most Conquest got in the west was a few tv commercials. It also had almost no marketing behind it the other Pokemon Spinoffs would get anime specials, associated merchandise, mangas, event Pokemon, etc. It came west in June 2012 at the dead end of the DS's life cycle, and only a few months before Pokemon Black/White 2 was released. Second, Pokemon Conquest's poor sales had less to do with market demand, and more to do with a combination of bad timing and bad marketing. The genre is just too niche in the west.įirst, I'm pretty sure Kessen 1 sold comparatively well. Guess why? Pokemon Conquest did poorly in the west. despite all youkai watch being fully localized and sangokushi getting western release. They don't even bother doing western release for things like Youkai Sangokushi.

Actually if they make these kind of games in today era of Steam it would do much better, but I doubt Koei would bother trying to make a project like that again. they sold poorly (in ps2 era pretty much everyone in "developing" countries are pirates). People don't understand why Kessen, Dynasty Tactics, etc ended at ps2 generation.

The only ps2 games that ever get ported to Steam are those commercial successes like final fantasy. Trying to remaster it with new graphics is just too much investment and those games didn't sell well enough to even justify the cost. it's too old and from ps2 it will be extremely hard to bother porting it.
